Shah Rukh Khan has received a five-year ban from Wankhede Stadium after an alleged drunken brawl with Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) officials following a Kolkota Knight Riders match this week.
MCA President Vilasrao Deshmukh told Hindustan Times: “If rules are violated, action will be taken. It does not depend who the individual is. It’s a message.
“How can he go inside the ground without proper accreditation? Even I can’t go inside the ground if not invited for a presentation ceremony.
“We have handed a five-year ban on him and it was a unanimous decision. It applies to any match whether domestic or international at the Wankhede.”
Khan reportedly smelled of alcohol, but has denied that he was drunk during the incident.
Abhishek Bachchan has revealed he misses his wife Aishwarya Rai-Bachchan’s attention after the couple had their baby daughter in November 2011.
“Ash’s day starts and ends with the baby. Since she insists on doing everything for Aaradhya, including giving her a massage, bathing her and attending to her round-the-clock, I’m now waiting in [a] queue for Ash’s attention.
“Aaradhya wakes up in the night for her feed and a nappy change. Ash, who’s completely clued in, is up in a jiffy. However, I must confess, it took time for me to get used to the new routine.
“When the baby cried, I woke up too, but couldn’t go back to sleep immediately. So Ash suggested that I sleep in another room till such time as Aaradhya was slightly older.”
Aishwarya will be at Cannes this month with baby Aaradhya.
The Wanted’s Siva Kaneswaran has revealed he was approached to appear in a new Bollywood film!
“It was so funny. He approached me and gave me this long speech about making me a star over there and that they wanted me to be the lead in the film,” Kaneswaran is quoted by The Sun as saying.
“He said he wanted the other lads too, but only as pretend group members in the background in a few scenes.”
Siva insisted that his fellow band members didn’t take offence to the offer, commenting: “They saw the funny side.”
Aishwarya Rai will be attending this year’s Cannes Film Festival and this time she will will travel to Cannes with her six-month-old daughter and is expected to play a significant role at the event.
A source told Bollywood Mantra: “Yes, Aishwarya will be going to Cannes this year. We can’t confirm about Abhishek yet, but Aishwarya won’t travel without Aaradhya for sure.”
Bipasha Basu is also expected to attend the film festival.
John Abraham says he will marry girlfriend Priya Marwah later in the year.
“I met Priya through a common friend,” Abraham revealed. “There was an instant connection. I can talk to her about anything. Ours is a very honest relationship. We can tell each other everything. That’s a benchmark for a healthy relationship.” John told Times of India.
John went on to confirm the marriage would take place this year and that it would be a small affair.
Abraham added: “I know it will be this year, but I don’t know when. It could be in a few months or a few weeks. I am a very impulsive guy. So I might decide to get married next week! It’s possible that our wedding may have just 10 people, if we include close family.”
Sonu Nigam has issued an official press statement regarding his no-show at the 02 Dhamaka concert on Sunday 22nd April.
Nigam was due to be the headline act which also featured Atif Aslam.
24 hours before the concert, Nigam wrote on Twitter: “Disappointed and enraged to inform everyone that I’m not coming to London. Hard to believe that except my visa, not a single visa for my group was done.”
In the press release a representative of Nigam said: “We shall keep it short, honest and to the point. Mr Nigam had categorically announced his delight in performing for the said concert and spread the word amongst his anxious fans on April 17.
“After their entire troupe’s ordeal on their way back from Australia when their connecting flight to Bombay got cancelled from Singapore and they had to fly to Delhi and then reach Mumbai; they headed straight to the British visa office VFS in Andheri East, and fulfilled the official formalities as the promoters in UK had assured that the visas could easily be procured thereafter.
“Little did we know that we will reach a point where our time, our dates and most importantly our credibility will go through testing times such as this! In our 20 years of successful inning in the show-biz, this is the first time a promoter has failed to obtain visas for our entire group except Mr Nigam’s! We are aghast at this unexpected turn of events.
“We are still being civil in this entire scenario by not playing the blame game although the entire fiasco smells of a definite foul play from the side of the people organising the visas for us, but if someone instead misleads our fan base, and all the people who bought the expensive tickets, flew in, in some cases, all the way from abroad only to see the headline act, Mr Sonu Nigam, and gives false information, it is only appropriate that we tell the truth from our own side!”
The statement concludes that Nigam’s team have offered to perform on another date later this month or next month.

Kareena Kapoor has officially unveiled Bollywood’s first Walk of the Stars in Mumbai.
The newly-built pedestrianised zone is said to be based on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in Los Angeles.

Priyanka Chopra says plastic surgery should not be a substitute for happiness.
Chopra previously denied having surgery to fix her own nose.
She told the paper: “Cosmetic surgery becomes wrong only when it becomes a disease and you stop loving yourself for what you are. When you start thinking that a surgeon’s knife can make you look better than what god gave you… so it is important to accept who you are.
“I feel somewhere you lose your confidence because of certain things. But if you can make yourself look better to feel better then I don’t think there is anything wrong with [cosmetic surgery].”
