India’s Sachin Tendulkar has become the first player to score 100 international centuries by compiling a ton in a one-day game against Bangladesh in Dhaka.
“A year ago when I got my 99th hundred the media began talking about it. Everybody began asking me about that. It began [to get a] little difficult. I was not playing for my 100th hundred. ” Tendulkar said.
“I have lost about 50 kilos. Enjoy the game and chase your dreams. I had to wait for 22 years for one dream, the World Cup.”
England Test captain Andrew Strauss told BBC Sport: “Sachin is a player by which all others are measured over the last 10-15 years, and for him to go out and get a hundred hundreds is an amazing achievement without precedent – it’s unlikely to be achieved again.”
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan have named their daughter Aaradhya Bachchan.
It had been speculated that the Bachchans were looking for a name beginning with the letter ‘A’.

‘I want to go and meet Danny uncle at his home and talk to him again. Before him I was living in a slum and now look at what my life has become – he visits us regularly in Bombay and now I want to visit him in his home.
‘The only other person I really want to meet in England is the Queen – I want to see her palace. I have always wanted to meet a real queen.’

Madhuri Dixit unveiled her new wax figure at Madame Tussauds in London yesterday.
Dixit said at the event: “I am thrilled to be here in Madame Tussauds unveiling a wax figure of myself. It’s incredible just how detailed the figure is – they have captured my look beautifully.
“I feel very humbled to be included alongside other Bollywood stars and some of my personal heroes.”

Saif Ali Khan has reportedly been arrested by Mumbai police, following an altercation at the Taj Palace Hotel in Colaba.
Khan is to have punched complainant Iqbal Nadim Sharma, who had made a request for Ali Khan’s table to lower their volume levels, Reuters reports.
“He said you are an idiot. Don’t you know who I am? If you want peace and quiet, go to a library,” claimed Sharma.
South African businessman Sharma is said to have sustained a nose bone fracture following the argument. His father-in-law was also injured during the proceedings on Tuesday evening.
Ali Khan has been booked under the Indian Penal Code 325 (voluntarily causing grievous hurt), sources report.
‘I could have reacted differently. I could have been a little more Gandhian in my approach. But I’m afraid I reacted in a way any gentleman would have reacted.’ Saif said.
“But I’m not proud of what happened. It could have been handled differently. I should have set a better example. I’m sorry that I reacted this way.”
He added: “People assume that just because you are a film star, you are a spoilt brat…I feel like I have been aggressed upon.”

Describing the Indian way of life, Mick – who runs a market research firm and manages a staff of 500 – said: ‘The attitude here is highly optimistic because everyone sees India’s time is coming.
‘Here there’s a belief that the future is ours, whereas in Europe it’s all about hanging on to what we’ve got as things aren’t going to get better. It’s a fundamental difference in attitude.’
Speaking about their decision to relocate to the side of the world, Lindsey said: ‘We felt the country was going to the dogs and thought we’d get out while we could.
‘The country’s bankrupt and everyone’s depressed.
‘India is heading into the stratosphere, it’s incredible how quickly it’s changing.’
