Karan Johar is set to bring back the Raichand family for the sequel of his smash hit ‘Kabhi Kushi Kabhie Gham’ ten years after the original project was released.
Johar said: “It’s a workable idea. I am no longer averse to it. It would be a bold step if I make it.”
The sequel will reunite stars Shah Rukh Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Jaya Bachchan, Hrithik Roshan, Kajol and Kareena Kapoor.
Johar added: “It’s very strange. But all the six main members of the cast are as dear to me now as they were ten years ago when I made the film. I’m sure they’re as charged about the sequel as I am.”
Amitabh Bachchan gave an indication of the sequel’s plot on his Big Adda blog, writing: “It would be a story on the growth of the brothers and the problems that arise because of their independent understanding and working of the business empire of the father, a split within them and so on…”
